DECONSTRUCTIVISM


Casa da Música - Rem Koolhaas - Porto, Portugal

-Is both visually and spatially by its faceted exterior, It invigorates the traditional concert hall with its bold interior forms and inventive use of materials.

The Ascent at Roebling's Bridge - Daniel Libeskind

-It is a residential building that looks like a wave breaking upward from the Ohio River. It is 21 floors, it dominates the skyline wherever it is visible.




BLOB ARCHITECTURE

The Sage Gateshead – Norman Foster
-The centre occupies a curved glass and stainless steel building designed by Foster and Partners, Buro Happold .

Montreal Biosphère
-It is a museum in Montreal dedicated to environment. The museum, inaugurated in 1995 as a water museum, is a set of enclosed buildings designed by Éric Gauthier, inside the original steel skeleton







HIGH TECH/ROBOTIC ARCHITECTURE

Žižkov Television Tower
-is a uniquely-designed tower built in Prague. It stands high above the city's traditional skyline from its position on top of a hill in the district of Žižkov.

Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy
-The Faculty of Pharmacy Building is an award-winning structure and a state-of-the-art facility in terms of both its educational facilities  and its architectural design.






ORGANIC + ARTS & CRAFTS MOVEMENT

Fallingwater - Frank Lloyd Wright
- Stands as one of Wright's greatest work both for its dynamism and for its mixing with the striking natural surroundings. His passion for Japanese architecture was reflected in the design of Fallingwater, particularly in the importance of interpenetrating exterior and interior spaces and the strong emphasis placed on harmony between man and nature.

Steel House- Robert Bruno
- Overlooking a cliff near Lubbock, Texas, the huge structure has grown from a spindly metal tripod of beams to a massive accumulation of rusted steel.








MINIMALIST ARCHITECTURE

Cube House
- an example of cube house design which has Modern Minimalist house design architecture with Multi Layers Cube House design. Entering trough the house gate visitor will be impressed with dynamic exterior view which generated from house elevation this Modern Minimalist Cube House.

- Old stone house is one of minimalist house design which was built with a view of the shade and atmosphere that can help you to feel more natural friends.









MODERNISM/ INERNATIONAL STYLE/ NEW MODERNISM

The Glass Palace
- Glass Palace is one of the thirteen Dutch buildings on the ICOM list, which contains the 1,000 most important buildings of the 20th century.

Villa Savoye
- The Villa Savoye originally built as a country retreat on behest of the Savoye family. I was not use and stayed unrepair until world war II.







BRUTALISM

Trellick tower
- It has a long, thin profile, with a separate lift and service tower linked at every third storey to the access corridors in the main building; flats above and below the corridor levels have internal stairs.

Geisel Library
- After several drafts of this ball-shaped design, the structural elements were deemed as being too space-consuming, and they were moved to the outside of the structure, essentially resulting in the current "lantern" design.






POST MODERN

Harold Washington Library Center
- It was designed by the architectural firm Hammond Beeby Rupert Ainge, Inc., winners of a design competition held in 1987 to replace the old central library.

One Detroit Center
- famous for its postmodern architectural design topped with Flemish-inspired neo-gothic spires which blend architecturally with the city's historic skyline.




CRITICAL REGIONALISM

Coconut Palace – F. Manosa
- Is made of several types of Philippine hardwood, coconut shells, and a specially engineered coconut lumber apparently known as Imelda Madera.

-Is a good example of Critical regionalism architecture.







GREEN ARCHITECTURE

Hearst Tower
-is the first "green" high rise office building completed in New York City, with a number of environmental considerations built into the plan. 

The Twisting Torso
- is based on a sculpture by Calatrava called Twisting Torso, which is a white marble piece based on the form of a twisting human being.






L.D AVANT GARDE

Experience Music Project and Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame – Frank Gehry (Avant-Garde)
-  Is amuseum dedicated to the history and exploration of both popular music and science fiction located in Seattle, Washington.

 Walter H. Gale House – Frank Lloyd Wright (Avant-Garde)
- Is designed in a geometric Queen Anne style and demonstrates Wright's predilection for informal planning.






SKYSCRAPERS

Petronas Tower
-Is the tallest building in the world for six years and is, until now, the tallest twin tower of the world.

Empire State Building
- Empire State Building features an art deco design, typical of pre–World War II architecture in New York. The modernistic stainless steel canopies of the entrances on 33rd and 34th Streets lead to two story-high corridors around the elevator core, crossed by stainless steel and glass-enclosed bridges at the second-floor level.

Biomorphic Skyscraper
- Designed by David Butterworth and Samuel Chaohui Zeng, Biomorphic Skyscraper transcends the virtual and physical limits of tall buildings.

Nagaoka Lyric Hall
-The Nagaoka Lyric Hall was established in 1996 as a Space for Communication and Creativity.


FUTURES

Naga Towers
- designed to push the boundaries of futurist Indian architecture, great care and thought has been put into the symbolism and design of these commercial towers as in India’s traditional architecture.
